Della Ann Rader of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died Wednesday morning, August 14, 2013, at her home in Ponca City at the age of 69 years.

Della Ann Rader was born on May 24, 1944, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Walter Franklin and Anna Pauline (DeBoard) Evans. She grew up on the family farm in Dilworth, Oklahoma, and attended Dilworth School until 1957. She then moved with her family to Blackwell where she graduated from Blackwell High School in 1962. She furthered her education by attending Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa for two years. She married her high school sweetheart, Donald Ray Rader, on July 28, 1962, in Blackwell.
She worked as a secretary for the Breece Insurance Agency, Blackwell Junior High School and the Electron Corporation before managing the Super 8 Motel in Blackwell. She later worked as a clerk for Shepherd's Convenience Store before moving to Freeport, Texas, where she worked as a secretary for AC Sheet Metal. In 2005 she returned to Ponca City to make her home. She was a member of the Church of God and the Elk's Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, baking cakes, collecting seashells, sewing and crafts. She loved to vacation with her family in Noel, Missouri.

She is survived by a son, Cary Rader and wife Nadine of Las Vegas, Nevada; two daughters, Kimberley Vandergrifft of Jones Creek, Texas, and Monica Epperly and husband Bob of Blackwell; a brother, Donald Evans of Texas; seven grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a brother, Dennis Evans.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 17th in the Blackwell Cemetery with Chaplain Tom Howard officiating. The grandchildren and great grandchildren will serve as honorary casketbearers.
