David Leslie Tillotson, Sr. of Braman, Oklahoma, died Friday morning, August 23, 2013, in the Blackwell Regional Medical Center at the age of 76 years.

David Leslie Tillotson, Sr. was born on April 20, 1937, in Overton, Nebraska, to Clyde Leslie and Pauline (Eliker) Tillotson. He joined the United States Army in 1955 and served as a combat engineer and drill sergeant, retiring in 1973. He married Joyce Morris on November 7, 1959 in Reno, Nevada, and she preceded him in death. After retiring from the Army, he moved his family from California to Oklahoma to work as a pipefitter for Conoco and retired in the late 1990's. He enjoyed woodworking in his shop, cooking and baking, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by one daughter, Gail Whitehouse of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two sons, David Tillotson of Moyers, Oklahoma and Dale Tillotson of Claremore, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Michael Tillotson.
