Connie Grace Pameticky passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at her home in Ponca City with her family at her side at the age of 73 after a battle with brain cancer.
Connie Grace Pameticky was born July 11, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas, to her parents, Everett E. and Dorothy (Baskin) Cox. She moved with her family to Enid, OK in 1950. In 1953, they moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Ponca City High School in 1964. On September 19, 1964, she married Terry Pameticky recently celebrating fifty-five years of memories. To this union were born two children, son Tommy and daughter Terri.
She was a true Texan, she was always proud that her granddaughter, Kristen, was born in Texas. She enjoyed fishing, boating, golf and traveling. Her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren and her great granddaughter and namesake, Kaylee Grace. One of her favorite days was when she would fix Thanksgiving Dinner for her entire family, just don't request cornbread dressing. She worked as a medical assistant for Dr. DeJarnette for seventeen years. With his being a diehard O.U. fan, she developed one her sayings, "Her two favorite teams are O.S.U. and whoever is playing O.U." The year the doctor passed one Saturday afternoon she stated she felt the house tremble, O.S.U. beat O.U. and Connie said, "Oh, that's only D.J. turning over in his grave." Connie is remembered by her family especially grandkids, nieces and nephews for frying donuts and her chocolate icing. When Eric and family were living in Denver, he came for a week and brought a buddy, one morning they consumed four dozen donuts.
She is survived by husband, Terry Pameticky of the home; sister, Faye Tyner of Ponca City; a son, Tommy Pameticky and wife Tammy of Grand Lake, a daughter, Terri Mitchell and husband Mark of Tonkawa; grandchildren, Eric Pameticky and wife Theresa of Tulsa, Kristen Parker and husband Shane of Tonkawa, Bryan and Jared Mitchell of Tonkawa and Jennifer Hyde and husband William of Bellevue, Nebraska; a great granddaughter, Kaylee Grace Parker of Tonkawa; a sister-in-law, Carole Doerner of Edmond; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Charles Cox.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 12 th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with James W. Roberts officiating.
