Obituary

Our wonderful Mother, Wife, Sister and Friend is in the loving arms of the Lord.

Colis Colleen Dowd was born November 19, 1937 in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Harold and Hazel Wilson. Throughout her 75 years she lived in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Wyoming and was blessed to meet friends that created a lifetime of memories. Having spent twenty-two years in Owasso, and the last fifteen years in Eufaula, Colis was active in PEO, and the First United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing, and traveling with her husband Ray of 56 years. Recently Colis and Ray moved to Moore to be closer to their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that she loved so much.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Hazel Wilson and brothers, Neil and Merle Wilson.

She is survived by husband Ray, brother, Laile Wilson and wife Janice of Blackwell; daughter, Gwyn Day and husband Mark of Moore; sons, Kurt Dowd and wife Karen of Edmond and Monte Dowd and wife Nancy of Owasso; grandchildren, Monica McAfee, Mitch Day, Drake Dowd, Kelsy Eidson, and Brady Dowd; as well as five great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life is Tuesday, April 9th at 1:30 p.m. in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with the Rev. Joe Davis of Oklahoma City officiating. Burial will follow in the Braman Cemetery.
