Obituary

Charles Edward Inmon of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Friday, February 28, 2014, at his residence in Blackwell, Oklahoma, at the age 79 years.

Charles Edward Inmon was born on May 31, 1934, in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He was the son of Hugh and Nellie (Epperly) Inmon. He grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public School and was a member of the class of 1953. Following his education he began working for A.S. Bunn Service Station before going to work for Kay Electric Cooperative working for thirty five years before retiring. He married Judy Ann Gibson on January 16, 1955, in Blackwell and they made their home in Blackwell. He enjoyed hunting, camping, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and going to the coffee shop. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Newkirk Masonic Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and 32nd degree Consistory in Guthrie.

He is survived by his wife Judy Inmon of Blackwell; son Jim Inmon and Sandi of Blackwell; a daughter in law, Becky Inmon of Oklahoma City; grandsons, Brody Inmon of Blackwell, Corey Inmon of Ponca City, Drew Inmon and wife Lindsey of Raymore, Missouri, and Kyle Inmon and wife Jenifer of Oklahoma City; step grandchildren, Jamie Lentz of Oklahoma City; and Jeff Lentz of Pawnee; and great grandchildren, Brayden Inmon, an Jaxon Inmon both of Raymore, Missouri, and London Inmon of Oklahoma City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Larry Wayne Inmon, and Craig Inmon; three sisters, Wanda Phipps, Anna Terrell, and Carol Husted; and one brother, Virgil Inmon.

Services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Blackwell, with Rev. Pam Cottrill assisted by Rev. Robert Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Nardin.

Casketbearers will be Tom Beliel, Leslie Page, Dale Wooderson, Harold Aldrich, Jim Galloway, and Jim Willis.

Honorary Casketbearers will be Friendship Sunday School Class, Joe Shoemaker, Hubert Clonts and Eric Stone.

A memorial has been established with Hospice of North Central Oklahoma in his memory c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home 120 West Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma.
