Obituary

Charles Norman “Charlie” Holdridge, 84, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Born on November 26, 1941, in Eagle Rock, California, Charlie was a kindhearted, creative man with a gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew him.

Charlie graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, OK in 1960 and went on to build a long and respected career in the aircraft industry, beginning with Rockwell International and retiring from Spirit AeroSystems. His work ethic, craftsmanship, and steady presence earned him the admiration of colleagues throughout the years.

Family was at the center of Charlie’s life. He cherished his large family, his pets, and the many activities that brought them all together. He poured passion into his hobbies—stained glass, hunting, photographing sunsets, gourmet cooking with his specialty being “Charlie’s Relish”, and crafting antler lamps and other unique pieces. He also loved coaching the girls’ soccer teams, as well as a women’s soccer and boys’ basketball teams. And, of course, he had a lifelong affection for his beloved Corvettes.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vicki Hetrick Holdridge, and his three daughters: JoDee Jones and husband Mark of Stillwater, OK; Cheri Thomas and husband Chris of Edmond, OK; and Kelli Stafford of Tulsa, OK.

He leaves behind grandchildren Kathryn Jones and husband Ahmed Omar; Madison Sinko and husband Parker; Hunter Stafford and wife Kayci; Taylor Clark and husband Jade; Kennedy Smith and husband Darrin; Jacob Jones and wife Ashlyn; Chandler Stafford and fiancé Josh Baker; and Morgan Thomas. His great-grandchildren, Charlotte “Charli” Jones and Sonny Sinko.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Bernice Holdridge, and his brother Bill Holdridge.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 9th at 11:00 AM at Blackwell Cemetery in Blackwell, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Charlie’s honor to Puppy Haven Rescue, 10026-A S. Mingo Road, Box 196, Tulsa, OK 74133—an organization he was proud to support.
