Carla Sue Busse of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died Tuesday morning, May 29, 2012, in the Ponca City Medical Center at the age of 49 years.
Carla Sue Busse was born on October 4, 1962, in Oxnard, California, to Clark Alexander and Vickie Sue (Miller) Brenner. She grew up in various communities throughout the United States as her father was transferred with the United States Navy. Following her education she made her home in Sullivan, Missouri, serving her family as a homemaker. In 2000 she moved to Blackwell and she worked for Tyson Foods. She also worked for Mid America Door Company and as manager for Burger King and McDonalds. She later worked as a caregiver for Supportive Community Lifestyles in Ponca City. She attended Second Baptist Church in Ponca City. She enjoyed animals, her work, and friends and family.
She is survived by her companion, Gary Jones of Ponca City; her mother, Vickie Geldin of Scottsdale, Arizona; two sons, Donnie Busse of St. Clair, Missouri, and Zachary Brenner of Ponca City; two step-daughters, Katy Jones of Ponca City and Christina Jones of Sulphur, Louisiana; a step-son, Thomas Jones of Sulphur, Louisiana; five sisters, Jina Irvin of Wakita, Oklahoma, Jill Holden of Clinton, Oklahoma, Sandra Jones of Ponca City, Jeanna Jones of Ponca City and Valerie Alvarez of Phoenix, Arizona; and two brothers, Kevin Brenner of Glendale, Arizona, and Russ Jones of Ponca City.
She was preceded in death by her dad; and step-mother, Nancy Clark.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2nd in the Blackwell Cemetery in Blackwell with the Rev. Mark Lyon of Community Christian Church in Ponca City officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in her honor with the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for cancer research in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
