Brenda Mae Hudson of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away on October 10, 2025, in Wakita, Oklahoma.
Brenda Mae Hudson was born on January 10, 1951 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She grew up in Braman, attending Braman Public Schools, and graduated from Braman High School in 1969. She was a cheerleader, as well as the Salutatorian of her class. She married Larry Hudson on March 27, 1969, and they made their home in Blackwell. She then furthered her education at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, Oklahoma.
She loved taking shopping trips with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid artist, painting many oil paintings, and painting saws — winning several awards at the Fair for her art. In her early years, she was a member of the Braman Methodist Church, and later placed membership with the Blackwell Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Hudson Henrichs; and one brother-in-law, Larry Bolzer.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Hudson of Blackwell; three daughters: Melanie McIntyre and husband Phil of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Shawna Henrichs and husband Aaron of Deer Creek, Oklahoma, and Lindsay Siler, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Blade Rowe, Royce Rowe, Madison Rowe, Kylee Fergeson (and husband Blaine), Dawson Henrichs, and Jaxon Siler; eleven great-grandchildren: Seth, Jett, Ava, Elizabeth, Carter, Kaydance, Lilly, Barrett, Braleigh, Bentley, Asher; two sisters, Sonja Bolzer of Rawlins, Wyoming, and Connie Bennett and husband Johnny of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Roberts and Son Funeral Home on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 12:00 pm till 5:00 pm and on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 8:30 till 8:00 pm.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday October 18, 2025, at the Braman Community Church. Burial to follow at the Braman Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her honor with the Braman Community Church.
