Obituary

Anna Lee Coleman of Braman, Oklahoma, died Sunday July, 3, 2011, at the O.U. Medical Center Presbyterian Tower in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 57 years.

Anna Lee Coleman was born on February 4, 1954, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to William and Jerry (Strader) Coleman. She grew up in Newhall, California, where she attended school until her senior year when she moved with her family to Newark, Delaware, graduating from the New Castle High School in 1972. She then attended college at the University of Delaware studying horticulture. After her education she moved to California in 1977 where she began working for A. T. & T. as an area manager for Southern California retiring in 2000. Following her retirement she moved to her childhood home in Braman, Oklahoma, to engage in farming and ranching. She enjoyed cement statuaries, sports, riding horses and loved animals of all kinds. She loved spending time with her family, playing cards and fishing and served as the caretaker of the Braman Cemetery until her health forced her retirement last year.

She is survived by her parents, William and Jerry Coleman of Braman, Oklahoma; one sister, Jane O'Hara and husband Tim of Castaic, California; three nieces, Katelyn, Courtney, and Shelby all of California; and her longtime companion, Jana Crain of Braman, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ross and Anna Marie Coleman; maternal grandparents, William and Freda Strader; one sister, Terri Ogeda; and an uncle, Robert Strader.

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Braman Methodist Church, in Braman, Oklahoma, with Rev. C.M. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Braman Cemetery.
