Obituary

Allie Francis Collyar, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Sunday morning, September 23, 2012, at the Blackwell Regional Hospital at the age of 84 years.

Allie Francis Collyar was born on April 25, 1928, in Arkansas City, Kansas, to Ed and Birdie (Chandler) Wilson. She married Frank R. Collyar on May 23, 1947, in Winfield, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1990. She enjoyed sewing, playing golf, reading, cooking, shopping and a good glass of wine. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida and Louisiana to see her family. She was a kind, loving and loyal person who thrived on taking care of other people and her family. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Blackwell.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen Snodgrass and husband Dan of Brandon, Florida; one son, Allen Collyar and wife Jo of Pine Grove, Louisiana; companion, Ben Smith of Blackwell, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Rick Snodgrass and wife Mary-Gen of Brandon, Florida, Amber Snodgrass in Afghanistan, Jennifer Rowe of Ponca City, Jason Morrill and wife Amy of Blackwell, Mathew Collyar and wife Vanessa of Dallas, Texas, Kari Collyar of Dallas, Texas, Hope Elliot and husband Kris of Watson, Louisiana, Blay Cantrell of Tonkawa, and Cole Cantrell of Tonkawa; sixteen great-grandchildren, Danny Snodgrass, Dylan Snodgrass, Kirsten Rowe, Kaden Rowe, Hannah Morrill, Braden Morrill, Emma Morrill, Collin Morrill, Adrian Collyar, Allie Collyar, Allen Collyar, Kaylie Collyar, Bella Collyar, Eli Collyar, Levy Elliot and Mazy Elliot; three sisters, Edith MacKay of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Clara Mae Allsip of Winfield, Kansas, and Patty Berens of Panama City, Florida; and two brothers, Grant Wilson of Arkansas City, Kansas, and Rodney Wilson of Ponca City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Gloria McFarland, and two brothers, Victor and Dale Wilson.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 25th in the Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Koch of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in her honor with the St. Jude Children's Hospital c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 West Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
