Agnes Louise Eppes of Cushing, Oklahoma, died Thursday, November 26, 2009, at the Linwood Village Nursing Home in Cushing, Oklahoma, at the age of 90 years.
Agnes Louise Eppes was born on September 26, 1919, in Thayer, Kansas. She was the daughter of Charles Louis and Nora Bell (Taylor) Hackler. She grew up in Blackwell, Oklahoma, attending Blackwell Public Schools. On May 7, 1936, she married Alvie Criger and they moved on the family farm near Peckum for a short time they then moved to Kansas and Blackwell. She then moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. On July 30, 1966, she married Leo Rogers Eppes and they made their home in Austin, Texas until 1971 when they moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and later moved to Moore, Oklahoma. On April 8, 2001, Leo preceded her in death and she continued to live in Moore. In 2007 she moved to Cushing, Oklahoma. She enjoyed drinking coffee, and going to garage sales, she loved her cats and working crossword puzzles.
She is survived by four daughters, Juanita Burke of Morrilton, Arkansas, Sharon Marcum of Cushing, Oklahoma, Linda Marney and husband Bill of Newport, North Carolina, and Diana Hall and husband David of Ponca City, Oklahoma; one son, Charles Criger and wife Ruth of Roy, Utah; ten grandchildren; thirty nine great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Alvie Louis "Sonny" Criger; three grandchildren; four sisters; and one brother.
Casketbearers are Donald Hobbs, John Ryan, Scott Marcum, Christopher Marcum, Mathew Marcum, Nicholas Marcum, and Charles Criger Jr.
Honorary casketbearers are Keith Hurst, and Henry Fetters.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2009, at the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel, with James W. Roberts officiating, burial will follow at the Blackwell Cemetery.
