Lora Alma Rector, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Saturday morning, April 21, 2012, in the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Blackwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 92. Lora Alma Rector was born on April 26, 1919, in Bristow, Oklahoma, to Roy Lee Turner and Flora (Welch) Turner. She attended Bristow public schools and later obtained her nurses license. She married Oscar O. Grace on January 16, 1933, in Bristow and he preceded her in death on December 8, 1995. After moving to Blackwell she worked as a nurse at the Riverside Hospital until 1955 when she began to work in various homes in the Blackwell area. She married Joshua R. Wynn on September 16, 1948, in Tucumcari, New Mexico, and he preceded her in death on October 5, 1985. She married Dewey C. Rector on October 4, 1986, in Blackwell and he preceded her in death on December 17, 2006. She was a member of the Tabernacle Church in Blackwell, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign War Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her family, friends and God.
She is survived by three daughters; Vera Paige of Blackwell and Rama Fay Ellis and husband George of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, and Gerleta Kay Robertson of Blackwell; two sons, Johnny R. Grace and wife Janice of Blackwell and Jimmy Wynn and wife Lorea of Ponca City; two step daughters, Becky Bouziden and husband Tom of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Marie Maytubby and husband Ed of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one stepson, Raymond Rector of Blackwell; one brother, Tommy Turner and wife Judy of La Pine, Oregon; four sisters-in-law, Helen Turner, Velma Turner, Lorine Turner, and Florine Turner; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Owen E. Grace; three step daughters, Jo Ann Reed, Phyllis Brown and Carol Anglin; a stepson, Paul Gene Wynn; three sisters, Anna Mae Barrows, Virginia A. Frazier and Flossie Bell Frenya; four brothers, William (Bill) R. Turner, Vernon L. Turner, James O. Turner and Murl O. Turner; five grandchildren, three step grandchildren, seven nephews and three nieces.
Service are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 25th in the Tabernacle Church in Blackwell with Rev. Robert Johnson of the Tabernacle Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
Honorary casketbearers will be Kenneth Paige and Jimmy Wynn. Casketbearers will be Terry Paige, Bobby Paige, Curtis Grace, Terry Grace, John Grace Jr. and Charles Barrows.
